Food studies scholar Leanne Brown was unhappy with the current resources for SNAP participant meal preparation The recipes, cookbooks and other resources were uninspiring. She created an "ideabook" rather than a cookbook. It has ideas on how to spice up a meal, and how to use leftovers in a creative way. The book is filled with gorgeous images, not often found in current SNAP publications. She used a kick-start campaign to donate thousands of hard copies of the cook book to food pantries. This is a great resources for anyone on any budget. You can download the cookbook for free or buy a hard copy (Which also donates a book as well).
